Radio Mixes
In 2009, Dan launched Oasis Radio - an Internet radio website, that featured monthly mixes by some of the best DJs in Japan, as well as top notch famous international DJs from around the world. In a very short time, Oasis Radio became the most popular Internet radio station in Japan with thousands of listeners from around the world.
At that time, Dan developed a new style of DJ mix that is more suitable for radio listeners. These mixes feature deep house, chilled progressive house, and electronica tracks played at a slower tempo than his club style mixes. Tracks for each mix are carefully selected with a concept in mind that tells a story from beginning to end. Dan's goal is to take the discerning listener on a musical journey that can not be forgotten.
These recordings are designed for audiophiles to enjoy at home, in cars, on a bike ride, or anywhere else the listener wants to groove more than dance.
Put on your headphones, and let Dan take you on a journey.
Music for Balconies
Chill|Ambient
"Music for Balconies" is a bit of a cheeky title turn on the 1978 seminal album "Ambient 1: Music for Airports" by Brian Eno. That album deeply influenced my taste in music moving forward. Music for Balconies is my take on downtempo and ambient music. Although I'm best known for my progressive house and techno, one of my true loves is the chill side of electronic music. This mix truly speaks to this love, but with my spin put on it. Music by Shipping, Blank & Jones, Blooms, Van Bellan, Pablo Bolivar, Shook, Autonne and others. Find yourself a sunlit balcony, pour yourself a drink, and relax with Music for Balconies.
Bornova, Türkiye
Progressive House
The title “Bornova” is a reference to an area of the city of Izmir, Türkiye where my great friend and one of my DJ mentors - Ayberk (aka I-Bec) – lived. When I visited in 2019, the name “Bornova” had a special ring to it for me, and I decided at the time, to make a mix bearing that name someday. The Bornova mix was born in April 2024, while I prepared to make a second journey to Türkiye. As I knew we would be taking some road trips while I was there, the mix was designed to be listened to while driving on a highway for long distances through spaces that traverse mountains and open plateaus. A mix for the beautiful country of Türkiye. Put on some headphones, imagine yourself cruising down a highway through peaked mountains and lateral open vistas with “Bornova”.
